10 ways to recharge your battery
We are all familiar with the notion that in order to be of service to others we have to also make time to look after ourselves.
Whether service is looking after children or older family members, a job, running a business, looking after clients, customers, patients etc. we can’t do it effectively if we’re burnt out and spent.
Setting yourself up with some healthy habits can help you rest and recharge during the day. Here are some cheap and simple ways to practice self-care in the hope that you can find something that works for you:
- Play with a pet
- Do some exercise
- Drink a glass of water
- Sit in the sun
- Take a break with a hot drink
- Take a nap
- Restorative yoga poses
- Watch a funny movie
- Turn off social media
- Clean up your room/office or pantry etc. (am I the only one that finds that relaxing?)
