New Year's resolutions – the killer of dreams
Ok, I’m being a little sarcastic but...
Instead of stacking on the pressure to make New Year's resolutions, it could be beneficial to instead reflect on a few simple questions for the year ahead:
- What do I want to do more of?
- What do I want to do less of?
- What am I proud of?
- What am I grateful for?
- What is one thing I know I should change but haven’t yet?
It’s not always about setting great big goals. Oftentimes, it’s the small adjustments, the 1 percenters, we make along the way that set us on course.
Setting goals with tiny action steps or micro habits around those small adjustments can help keep us focused and make the changes we know we need to make without it feeling daunting.
Any day is a good day to start a new 1 percenter. And today is as good a day as any.
