Do you use the right formula?
According to the American Society of Training and Development, the probability of completing a commitment to action is:
10% if you hear an idea
25% if you consciously decide to adopt it
40% if you decide when you will do it
50% if you plan how you will do it
65% if you commit to someone else that you’ll do it
95% if you have a specific accountability appointment with the person/ team to whom you committed.
So, if you want to give yourself the best chance of getting something done:
Decide to do it.
Decide when you will do it.
Plan how you will do it.
Commit to someone else that you will do it.
Set a meeting to update that person on your progress.
Now you have a formula for getting things done, enjoy!
