Create Ripples of Happiness
We spend so much of our day getting ‘things’ done that it’s easy to forget that we’re part of something bigger. That our actions have an impact on others (both positively and negatively) and that we have a whole lot of power to make other people’s day or situation better.
As the year races to the finish line, take a little moment to ask yourself – how can I create a ripple of happiness?
It’s easy to do, just doing a small thing for someone can make a big impact on how they feel, their day or how they see the world. Here are some things you could try:
- Check in on a friend.
- Offer a helping hand.
- Hold the door open for someone.
- See what you can do to ‘lighten the load’ for someone.
- Be present when you’re with people.
- Really listen to the person you’re having a conversation with.
- Invite someone over for a coffee.
- Take someone out for a walk in the fresh air when you know they need a break.
It doesn’t take a lot of time or effort to be kind and create a little happiness in someone’s life. And the best part, it can create a little ripple that can create more kindness and happiness in the world.
