Begin Anywhere
Someone once told me that there is no point waiting to have all your ducks in a row before you start something because ducks only line up when they begin to move. Now I don’t know enough about ducks to confirm whether that’s true or not but the sentiment is useful either way.
It’s easy to get bogged down in details – in over thinking to the point where we freeze ourselves into inaction. So instead of waiting for everything to line up, for all the details to be worked out, for the perfect timing, for the guarantee of success – start somewhere, start anywhere – just start!
Come up with a plan to achieve what it is you have set out to do and break it down into tiny, manageable, non-scary steps. Then just take that first small step, then the next one.
The smaller the step, the smaller the problems and the easier the solutions required.
Start where you are and take that first small step.
